About The Event
Ten-year-old Luke Bright is angry. His mother and step-father announce that they are all moving to Ýpas Nisí (Vulture Island). Luke fears a new beginning, but what choice does he have?
On the island, Luke’s fears fade when he befriends a magnificent griffon vulture whom he names Griff.
Griff leads Luke on a quest to uncover intriguing archaeological mysteries at the ancient Greek Amphora Temple. But, skulduggery is afoot. Luke’s life is in danger and the survival of the vultures is threatened. Can Luke and Griff put a stop to Duggitt’s villainous plans? And will Luke learn the truth about the mythological legend attributed to griffon vultures – do they really carry the souls of the dead to the endless universe?
