About The Event

Kuumba kids will be leading this year's Black History Month creative programme at Moon Lane Books with a range of fun activities.

Join us as we creatively explore the themes - Stories, Rhythm and Life:

The importance of telling our stories and how we tell them. To honour and celebrate the lives of courageous men and women that will inspire the next generation.

Kuumba kids is an African centerd children's arts programme based in South East London delivering mindful workshops. Kuumba means creativity in swahili and is one of our core principles where we help children to develop their own creative voice and make art with intention/purpose.

We have two wonderful workshops for you toparticipate in from fabric block printing inspired by African Mud Cloth and Paper crafts where you can make Kemetic (Egyptian) inspired wisdom crowns collaging and celebrating the great thinkers of the world.
